Testing and inspection of rubber and rubber-metal anti-vibration parts
The specialised technicians in our in-house laboratory perform strict checks on receipt and final tests to ensure the safety and durability of our rubber and rubber-metal anti-vibration technical items. We operate in compliance with the ISO/IEC 17025 standard in our laboratory.
- We test the mechanical and rheometric characteristics of compounds.
- We perform dimensional checks with a 3D bench and conventional measuring instruments.
- We conduct static and dynamic tests during production.
- We carry out all the tests required by the FAI and type approvals.

A constantly updated pool of instruments
SGA has all the instruments it needs for highly accurate preliminary and post-production tests and inspections. We have testing machines to check the elastic, static and dynamic characteristics of components:
- a dynamometer to measure elastic, static, radial and axial characteristics. This instrument has three load cells of 50 kN and a displacement transducer of 0 to 500 mm.
- a torque meter to verify the elastic, static, torsional and pendular characteristics, with a load cell of 2000 Nm and an angular position transducer of ± 18°;
- a mechanical exciter with 200 kN load cell, displacement transducer ± 150 mm, and side actuator with 50 kN cell – to conduct combined vertical and lateral fatigue tests;
- a mechanical exciter with 50 kN load cell, and displacement transducer ± 100 mm, to conduct fatigue tests in various directions (axial, radial, torsional and pendular);
- a tensiometer and ageing ovens to verify the physical and mechanical characteristics of compounds, namely tensile strength, stretching and permanent deformation;
- a rheometer to measure the vulcanization parameters of compounds;
- a durometer for compounds and a durometer for metals to test the hardness of materials;
- a 3D measuring machine to check the dimensions of semi-finished and finished components;
- various instruments for measuring dimensions, such as depth gauges, micrometers, altimeters, comparators, etc.
