Reverse engineering
In the absence of a construction drawing or technical specifications, we can provide a reverse engineering service for the production of anti-vibration mounts and components. Starting with a sample of the part to be manufactured, we are able to replicate its original mechanical and functional characteristics.
The reverse engineering activity involves analysing the materials, taking dimensional measurements and characterising the part. On request and where possible, we make improvements to adapt the product to its new requirements.
This activity is essential when the original manufacturer is no longer trading (for example in the case of old vehicles), or when the customer is looking for alternative products to improve performance and/or reduce costs.
The fields of application are manifold, including the railway and tramway sector (our area of specialisation and core business), the marine and industrial sectors and special vehicles.
